Lesley Dobbs Ramos was a leader, a teacher and a coach. She was a special member of our community who touched countless students’ lives in her classroom and on the field.

She was a mother, wife, daughter, sister and a dear friend to many.

She loved her Newport Elementary School students and she loved coaching field hockey.

She had the most infectious laugh and the brightest spirit.

After a courageous fight against lung cancer, Lesley’s legacy lives on in our Perry County community. Her legacy also lives on through her daughter, Gianna Ramos, an upcoming first grade student at Newport Elementary School.

To honor Lesley’s memory, we are holding a fundraiser on June 24th, 2017, that will include a field hockey tournament and dance-a-thon at Newport High School. Please see the tabs on the top right corner of website for additional details.

*All donations to the Lesley Ramos Memorial Fund will go toward a college fund for Gianna.

We know that Lesley, who loved education, would want Gianna to have the opportunity to attend college.
